Orders

The website allows a person (“user”) to place electronic orders ("order") for one or more products on offer as long as such products are available and not sold out.

A purchasing contract ("sale") between the user and Fresh shall be complete only once a user has placed an order and the payment has been processed fully, meaning Fresh Home has received and accepted the payment.

 

Dietaries

We do have vegan options available for purchase, however you will see that there are a number of vegetarian and vegan main meals, side dishes, curries and soups available showed by the symbols. Unfortunately, we do not cater for Halaal or Kosher requirements.

Please note that there is a possibility that our meals contain traces of nuts, soy, wheat, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish or other allergens.

 

Freezing and reheating food

Majority of our meals can be frozen for future consumption; however, we would recommend consuming meals within three months of freezing. Please ensure all meals are defrosted completely before reheating. The safest way to defrost frozen food is in a refrigerator. Please do not refreeze dishes after they have been defrosted; they can remain in the refrigerator, but should be consumed within 48 hours.

Heating and preparation instructions are available on the product packaging and our containers are suitable for ovens, however not for microwaves. We recommend decanting dishes into suitable ovenproof or microwavable containers before reheating.

To ensure food is adequately heated, follow the heating instructions and check that the food is piping hot throughout. If not, heat for an additional brief period. To avoid scolding, allow the food to stand for a few minutes before serving.

Customer Queries

Any concerns or queries regarding any of our products, heating instructions or deliveries should be sent to hello@freshfood.co.za. We pride ourselves on excellent quality and customer service and will do our best to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

 

Payment

If payment fails due to the account not existing, insufficient funds, the credit card number or other information being incorrect etc. the purchase will not be successful.

For EFT payments kindly note the following:

  • The banking details are on the receipt
  • You have 12 hours to pay and send us proof of payment.
  • If you don't pay in time, we'll cancel the order on your behalf.

If you wish to pay cash into the Fresh Home bank account, the bank charges will be for your account. You will be required to make a further payment to cover the cost of a cash deposit fee.

For payments made from outside of South Africa, please ensure that all bank charges are covered from your side. Fresh Home is not liable for bank charges incurred for international bank transfers.

 

Reservation of Items 

Products cannot be reserved by a user to be bought at a later time. Placing an item in your cart without processing the payment for the order will not lead to a successful order being placed nor the reservation of (an) item(s).

 

Availability

Please note that the stock of all items on offer is limited. Fresh Home will make all reasonable attempts to ensure that customers are notified when stock may be low.

If Fresh Home is unable to fulfill an order at the advertised price because stock is sold out or unavailable, we will let you know and you will be entitled to a reimbursement or a credit note for the Rand value you have paid for such product. Items are subject to a change in price without notice.

                                                                                                                                    

Service Disruption

Fresh Home reserves the right to limit or discontinue the functionality of the site. While we strive to be online continuously, we cannot exclude cases in which the web page may be unavailable. In rare cases, this may cause data loss.

Fresh Home cannot be held liable for cross-browser incompatibilities that cause checkout or payment failures. We recommend that you browse with Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.                                                                                                                                  

Intellectual Property

Fresh Home retains all copyright and other rights to services, as well as listings, information, images, videos, and databases (the "Property Protection"). A modification, reproduction, publication, disclosure to third parties and/or exploitation of the protected property without the prior written consent is expressly prohibited by Fresh Home.

 

Termination/Cancellation of Orders 

Fresh Home reserves the right to cancel or refuse to fulfill any order it suspects of being fraudulent. This includes, but is not limited to instances of suspected stolen banking details/cards. On occasion, Fresh Home may request a copy of your official identification document or the front of your credit card to verify the transaction with the relevant bank. Fresh Home may also refuse to refund you on the basis of the transaction being suspected as fraudulent - you may then initiate a chargeback process from your bank if you wish to receive a refund.

 

Changes in General Conditions 

Fresh Home reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions from time to time and at the discretion of management. If you disagree with the general terms and conditions we do not recommend the use of our service. You will be required to accept the T's & C's every time you transact on our website/online store.

We reserve the right to ban any individual uploader or website domain from using our services for any reason.
